Firstly, my head combined Damian’s hair with his hood and I was like “Those are some gorgeous Dicklocks you’ve got there, Damian!” In my head it was something right out of Injustice. And then I read “We’re swinging.” as “We’re swingers.” and I was like “WTF does that have to do with drivin—-ohhh, wait, drive him hard, Damian!” And then I re-read and was properly learned.
Dammit, I think I had it right the first time.

I just had this epiphany. Each of the main three Robins (Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, Tim Drake) have all been the Joker in some incarnation or reference either by comics or cartoon. Dick Grayson after some freak genetic cellular bullshittery becomes the Joker in (The Dark Knight Strikes Again - Earth 31) the alt Earth with Carrie Kelley as Robin, Jason Todd does so by taking up the mantle of Red Hood (though he does not directly “become” the Joker), and Tim Drake in the Batman Beyond cartoon after having been completely mindraped by the Joker.
Am I the only one who thinks this was somehow intentional? I may be late to the party, but this was a brain breakage moment for me.
It also delights my inner fangirl in finding these connections. I’m about to scour the net for anything connecting Damian to the Joker in the same like manner as the three above.
